Joe brings more than 15 years of experience in fundraising, most recently serving as chief development officer for the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. Prior to his role at the Lyric, he was the director of development and advancement for Cornerstones of Care, worked at the KC CARE Clinic and for The Salvation Army-Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in San Diego.
Joe has an MPA with a focus in nonprofit leadership, holds a Certificate in Fundraising from the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership and has completed the Grantsmanship Center grant training program.
He has presented on fundraising techniques for Nonprofit Connect and the Association for Fundraising Professionals seminars and is a 2012 Alumnus of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions civic leadership program.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Music from Oklahoma City University and has directed youth theater productions in San Diego and Kansas City.
