Pacific Harbors Council Boy Scouts of America Enlists Kinetic

Pacific Harbors Council Boy Scouts of America (Takoma, Wash.) is situated on the western shore of Summit Lake in Washington State. Camp Thunderbird is the Pacific Harbors Council’s premier camp offering an array of camping options and waterfront activities. The Council has enlisted Kinetic to help with fundraising for capital, regular giving and endowment goals. Pacific Harbors Council serves communities throughout most of Southwest Washington. Over 18,000 youth are served annually through local programs led by over 6,000 adult volunteers.

Kinetic Chairman and CEO Matthew J. Beem, PhD is an Eagle Scout, a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, and an active volunteer with Boy Scouts of America. He has served as Chair for the Heart of America Council’s Blue Elk District and in many other council, district and unit leadership roles.

I looked up from my computer and saw a man walking slowly through the lobby toward the restrooms and water fountain. As he got closer, it was evident from the pack and bedroll on his back that he was homeless and had come in for a drink after a long night outdoors.
