A Scout is Trustworthy

Trustworthy: Worthy, dependable; able to be relied on as honest and truthful.

Like the Scouts and Scouters we serve, Kinetic places a high value on being trustworthy and dependable. For over 30 years, Kinetic Companies, Inc. has been relied on by nonprofit clients, including Scouting councils from coast to coast, in urban cities and rural communities to help them raise billions of dollars.

Do Your Donors Know? Boy Scouts Program Renamed Scouts BSA

When donors do not feel informed, they do not feel appreciated, and this will impact their feelings about an organization as well as their giving.

Don’t assume: “They’ll hear about it.” Be pro-active and communicate any new information with all your staff, leaders, volunteers, supporters and donors.

For example…

In February, the Boy Scouts’ program name will change to Scouts BSA and begin serving girls and boys, ages 11 through 17. The organization’s name, The Boy Scouts of America, will remain unchanged. The Boy Scouts of America’s other programs will retain their names as well, including Cub Scouts, Venturing, Sea Scouts and Exploring. Go here to learn more.

Strategies for Success: Time to Declutter Your Database

It’s never too early to get your fundraising house in order for the year. For nonprofits, one of the biggest areas of clutter is found lurking in the database: former addresses, incorrect spellings, deceased donors, new marriages listed with old names and a thousand other ways to waste time and resources while annoying current and prospective donors.
