Growing Philanthropy with the Boy Scouts of America

Kinetic Fundraising, Inc. has a decades-long tradition of helping grow philanthropy for Boy Scouts of America (BSA) – with over $163 million raised for BSA councils. Kinetic provides local councils with professional fundraising management and expertise. The Kinetic team helps improve councils’ major gift prospect identification, qualification, cultivation and solicitation; grant research and proposal writing; campaign assessments; estate giving; annual fund planning and implementation; leadership development and more.

Loyal: Steadfast, dedicated, constant and true.

One who is loyal will not say yes when no is necessary. Loyal does not mean always agreeing. Clear communication is of higher value than self-interest or disingenuous “agreement.” Above all, Kinetic is loyal to its clients because our mission is to help our clients fully realize their mission.

garmin Ask Kinetic!

Do you have a tough fundraising question?
Send your questions to askhartsook@kineticfundraising.com and we will respond by email. Your question may be featured in a future eHartsook on Scouting.

QUESTION: We had an unusual request from a donor on how they would like to give to our campaign. It isn’t our customary gift arrangement, so we’re not sure what to do.

Unless it is one of the big four (illegal, immoral, unethical or discriminatory), start with yes. Too many nonprofits start with a cup-half-empty approach. Just because you’ve never done it before, doesn’t mean it hasn’t been done. Start with yes, and then figure out how to make it happen. You never want to make a donor second guess making a generous offer. Be a can-do organization and you will be sure to stand out in the crowd.
