Growing Philanthropy for Boy Scouts of America

Kinetic has a decades-long tradition of helping Boy Scouts of America (BSA) councils – with over $165 million raised for BSA. The Kinetic team helps improve councils’ major gift prospect identification, qualification, cultivation and solicitation; grant research and proposal writing; campaign assessments; estate giving; annual fund planning and implementation; leadership development and more. A Scout is Reverent

Reverent: Showing deep and solemn respect. To treat with high regard and veneration.

Scouts know how to have fun; they know how to enjoy the beauty of the world around them, and they also recognize there are times when sober reflection, solemnity and respect are most appropriate. Showing deep and solemn respect is a timeless characteristic of Scouting.

The Power of Philanthropy™: ‘Tis the Season

For nonprofits, ‘Tis the Season… is very important and meaningful. It ‘Tis the Season to give, volunteer and consider the needs of others. No gift of time or money is too small or insignificant. At this time of year, as we see so many caring people stepping up to help, let’s be reminded of how important the work of fundraising is to so many people. When we all join in, in ways great and small, we inspire those around us to give, so they too may experience the positive, life-changing Power of Philanthropy. Go here to read more.

Annual Fundraiser Supports BSA Council and the National Elk Refuge

Annually, the Jackson District of Grand Tetons Council (Idaho Falls, Idaho) participates in Elkfest where volunteers help search the grounds and collect antlers that have been shed by male elk at the Nation Elk Refuge in Jackson, Wy. The antlers are sold to be used in the creation of furniture and art. The first auction was held in 1967. Since this is the only time visitors are allowed to walk the Refuge, it is a productive service project and an exciting adventure for the Scouts. Following a day of antler search and collection, Scouts prepare for the auction. One-fourth of the antler proceeds go to the Council; the other three-fourths goes to support the National Elk Refuge.
