$960,000 Mabee Challenge Grant for Hope at the Center

The Hope Center (Kansas City) campaign, Hope at the Center, will provide the funds necessary for capital investments and operating support. The Hope Center provides asset-based programs and opportunities for sustainable growth and development where children, youth and families can flourish on Kansas City’s east side. The nonprofit has one year to raise $1.87 million to meet its Mabee challenge grant of $960,000.

KidsTLC Receives Gifts Totaling $100,000

KidsTLC (Olathe, Kan.) brings hope and healing to young lives and their families through innovative and proven therapies in residential and outpatient programs. Its campaign, Rooted in Hope, will provide funding for capital, programs and endowment goals. Two recent gifts – $50,000 each from UMB Financial Corporation Charitable Foundation and the Ronald D. Deffenbaugh Foundation – will support KidsTLC’s expansion goals to help more children find hope.

Children's Safety Center: Healing the Future

Children’s Safety Center (Springdale, Ark.) provides free child sexual abuse prevention training for parents, caregivers, and professionals in the community. The training covers signs and symptoms of abuse, internet safety and body safety curriculum. Children’s Safety Center is a child-friendly, family-centered organization that coordinates the investigation, prosecution process and treatment services to prevent further trauma to children affected by sexual and physical abuse. Its campaign, Healing the Future, will fund the nonprofit’s new facility that will be three times the size of its current space and uniquely designed to support the mission.
