image Disaster Relief Organization Commemorates Founding with Its First Annual “Big Give” Event

Heart to Heart International (Lenexa, Kan.) held its first annual Big Give event in May to commemorate when its transport touched down in Moscow, supplying the Russian people with medicine and supplies for hospitals and orphanages. During its Big Give event, donations to the organization were matched up $10,000. Since its founding in 1992, Heart to Heart has provided aid to more than 130 countries and facilitated more than 1.1 million volunteer hours.


image Central Seminary Celebrates Two Newly Endowed Faculty Chairs

Central Seminary (Shawnee, Kan.) has endowed two faculty chairs: The Dianne C. Shumaker Chair of Peace and Justice, through a gift from Ms. Dianne C. Shumaker and The Landreneau Guillory Chair of Biblical Studies, through a gift from Rev. Angela Lowe. These two legacy gifts will help ensure the seminary’s mission to prepare women and men for seeking God, shaping Church, and serving humanity and all creation. Central Seminary was founded in 1901. It has been named one of the top 12 fastest growing theological schools by the Association of Theological Schools.


image Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City Awards $15,650 in Scholarships to Six Clubs Seniors

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City (Kansas City) celebrated its Class of 2019 by awarding six graduates with $15,650 in scholarships. The organization honored its more than two dozen graduates and marked the third year in a row the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City has achieved its organizational priority of 100% of its active seniors graduating with a post-secondary plan in place.

Kansas City Public Library (Kansas City) has retained Kinetic to conduct an executive search to fill its director of development position. Additionally, Kinetic is providing interim fundraising management for the Library. The Kansas City Public Library, founded in 1893, is a public system operating a Central library and area branches.
