Inspiring Excellence Raises $1.3 Million in 2020
Community School of the Arts (Fort Smith, Ark.) launched its five-year, Inspiring Excellence campaign at the end of 2019. Community School of the Arts is a comprehensive arts organization serving the Fort Smith area and surrounding region by providing high-quality instruction in music, theatre, dance, and visual art to hundreds of children and youth. The nonprofit raised $1.3 million in 2020 for its important arts project that will reach hundreds of students in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Transforming Education Exceeding Expectations
Fundamental Learning Center (Wichita, Kan.) raised $10.9 million in 2020 toward its campaign, Transforming Education. Fundamental Learning Center is a privately-funded, educational nonprofit serving children with significant reading, writing and spelling difficulties, including those with dyslexia through identification, private education and teacher/parent education and training. The organization has been generously gifted over $19 million and plans to exceed its $20-million goal in the coming months.

Advancing a Healthy KC Has Raised $1.7 Million Toward Its Goal
KC CARE Health Center (Kansas City) will begin its three-year, Advancing a Healthy KC campaign this year. The organization has already raised $1.7 million toward its $6.98-million goal. KC CARE Health Center offers quality, affordable, integrated health services to everyone in the community with the promise of dignity and personalized care. Advancing a Healthy KC is expected to support an estimated 6,000 additional patients and 19,000 additional visits annually.

Multiple Grants to The Second Century Campaign
The National WWI Museum and Memorial (Kansas City) announced in 2020 a $500,000 gift from the William T. Kemper Foundation – Commerce Bank, Trustee and a $155,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities toward the goal of digitizing the Museum’s entire collection. The National WWI Museum and Memorial is America’s leading institution dedicated to remembering, interpreting and understanding the Great War and its enduring impact on the global community.
