$250,000 to DeMolay Foundation Capital Goals

DeMolay Foundation (Kansas City) received a gift of $250,000 for upgrades to its parking lot, sidewalks, curbs and entryway at the DeMolay Service and Leadership Center during The Second Century Fund campaign. The DeMolay Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Frank S. Land in 1948 as a way to help financially support the Order of DeMolay.

$100,000 for Stronger Workforce, Greater Community

State Fair Community College (Sedalia, Mo.) received a $100,000 gift from WireCo for its capital campaign to help build the Olen Howard Workforce Innovation Center. WireCo is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of steel and synthetic lifting products. The new Innovation Center will expand the college’s capacity to meet the growing demand for technical workforce training and strengthen the communities it serves.

$2.5 Million for A Second Century

National WWI Museum and Memorial (Kansas City) received a $2.5-million grant toward its campaign for A Second Century: A campaign for remembering, interpreting and understanding the Great War in the next century. The grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc., given through its Religion and Cultural Institutions Initiative, establishes an endowed curator position on faith and religion.
