Matt chairs the advisory board of the Institute for Sustainable Philanthropy in Plymouth, United Kingdom, is an adjunct professor of organizational behavior at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management and a senior fellow of the Bloch School’s Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership. He is a featured speaker on fundraising and fundraiser compensation in the United States and abroad.

Karin helps Kinetic clients raise hundreds of millions of dollars through research-based counsel and guidance. She is adept at drawing out the potential in nonprofits and providing the confidence they need to raise more money than they ever thought possible. Karin has served in senior leadership roles in nonprofit and business sectors.

Danny leads the entire network of Kinetic operations as well as the allocations of people and resources. Danny has responsibility for the day-to-day activities of finance and accounting, ESOP, new business and client development, communications and administrative services.

Ross has a strong track record of development leadership and nonprofit management. Ross worked for the Heart of America Council, Boy Scouts of America for 14 years. During his tenure, he successfully worked in all levels of field service and supervised a staff of over 30 employees covering a 19-county metropolitan area.

Jason served as President and CEO of the Pikes Peak United Way where he managed a 35-member team and $5.5 million annual operating budget. In 2015, Jason was selected as a top-20 CEO within United Way Worldwide, earning participation in the organization’s Executive Leadership Program through the U.K.-based Center for Creative Leadership.

Tammy is the first point of contact for clients, prospects and consultants. She provides personalized assistance to clients and Kinetic’s consultants. Her commitment to client service creates a culture of excellence. Tammy is a graduate of Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Business Management and a minor in Entrepreneurship.

During Joe’s tenure as Chief Development Officer for the Lyric Opera of KC, the nonprofit increased its donor base by over 25% in one year and raised over $6 million for endowment. Joe has a MPA and Certificate in Fundraising from the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership.

Prior to joining Kinetic, Murray was President of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Foundation. He has served as Vice President for external affairs at Iowa State University. During his tenure there, the University experienced record giving years, completing a $214 million campaign and a $450 million campaign a few years later.

Prior to joining Kinetic, Geoff founded a consulting company specializing in nonprofit structure, operations and startups. He also co-founded an international organization dedicated to keeping waterways safe and clean for paddlers and outdoor enthusiasts. Geoff brings a long history of community service, religious philanthropy and environmental stewardship to the Kinetic team.

Under Kristy’s direction, clients are raising millions of philanthropic dollars through direct response, strategic special events and major gift efforts. Kristy founded two nonprofit organizations and has built nonprofit from the ground up, including board development and strategic planning. She has worked with clients in sectors including education, arts and historic preservation.

Prior to joining Kinetic, Tammy served in a variety of development roles including leading and managing efforts to raise more than $8 million annually. Nonprofit experiences include work at the University of Kansas Health System, Boy Scouts of America, the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Girl Scouts of NE Kansas and NW Missouri.

Tom fuses his unique portfolio of executive, board, marketing and philanthropic experience for the benefit of Kinetic clients.  He brings more than 40 years of executive experience, including roles as CEO, president and CMO of well-known public and private companies and their subsidiaries. 

Keith provides support for Kinetic’s special projects. Keith served as the Professional Development Committee Chair for the Alexander Hamilton Society (AHS) at North Carolina State University. In his volunteer role, he was responsible for identifying and engaging individuals to provide mentorships for AHS dual-degree students.

Lou was Senior Executive Director of The Shawnee Mission Medical Center Foundation from 2003 until joining Kinetic. In 2005, he launched the Foundation’s largest-ever capital campaign, raising over $30 million, followed by a successful $11-million campaign. Lou raised over $80 million during his tenure at The Shawnee Mission Medical Center Foundation.

Jan’s 42 years of fundraising experience includes serving as President of the Billings Catholic School Foundation where she successfully completed a $20-million campaign for a new school. Prior to the Foundation, she served as Director for Northern Rocky Mountain Easter Seals/Goodwill.

As the director of development for the Black Hills State University Foundation, Dwight set new fundraising records each year of his last four years with the Foundation, including $8 million raised. Prior to his tenure at Black Hills State University, Dwight was the major gifts officer for the University of South Dakota Foundation.

Lynn has guided successful campaigns up to $100 million. Kinetic relies on Lynn’s expertise in major gift strategy, executing meaningful and thoughtful development plans, encouraging planned giving as a transformative way to make an impact, collaborative signature events and other aspects of campaign management.

Aaron has an extensive background and decades of experience managing and implementing all aspects of philanthropy including integrated plans for regular giving, capital campaigns and special events for major donors.

Steve provides support in development functions such as leadership recruitment and training, capital campaigns, annual giving, legacy giving and staff training. Prior to joining Kinetic, Steve served as the Presiding Bishop/Chief Financial Officer for the Community of Christ where he oversaw development and implementation of a five-year strategic financial plan.

Scott has a long and diverse background in fundraising and fundraising management. He also has significant experience across the disciplines of fundraising at the local, state, national and international levels. During his fundraising career, he successfully helped create new fundraising practices, as well as introduced turn-around strategies during times of significant change.

Pamela brings to Kinetic a unique understanding of small business operations and an appreciation for hard work. Pamela’s sense for business management combined with the ability to think creatively, gives her the tools to communicate effectively with a variety of institutions, from corporate to nonprofits.

Chuck has over ten years of executive recruiting experience. In addition to being an attorney, Chuck has served in several nonprofit leadership roles including senior development director and vice president of development. He has conducted executive searches for a range of corporations nationwide.

Melanie has brokered millions in funding for organizations by leveraging her expertise in research, grant writing and development to help Kinetic clients uncover and acquire more funding to advance their missions. Melanie has a Master of Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University.

Ed utilizes his vast wealth of knowledge and experience to support Kinetic clients. His background as an academic, attorney and fundraising professional for various arts institutions positions him to offer profound insights and tailored strategies.

O.J. is a valued Kinetic consultant. His ability to quickly assess situations and mobilize relationships for tangible benefit has served Kinetic’s clients exceedingly well. He’s overseen several successful campaigns for Youth Excited About Sports (Y.E.S.), raising more than $7 million to advance the organization’s mission.

Adrian is the Co-Director of the Institute for Sustainable Philanthropy. He was formerly the first Kinetic Chair in Fundraising at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Adrian is a Visiting Professor of Fundraising at Avila University and the Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.

Jen is the world’s first PhD in Philanthropy. She is also the world’s only philanthropic psychologist. Her research has been covered in the New York Times, BBC, The Guardian, the Chronicle of Philanthropy, Advancing Philanthropy and the Nonprofit Times.

Dave served as President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City for nearly 25 years prior to joining Kinetic. Under his leadership, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City grew its revenue from $1 million to more than $8 million and its net assets from $2.5 million to $18 million.

Jonathan leads the development of Kinetic’s profile and projects in the U.K.

Lisa received her Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Ministry from Southern Methodist University and her Master of Divinity from Duke University. Before beginning her work in church ministry Lisa worked with the Boys & Girls Club of East Dallas as the Teen Center Director.

Kimera conducted multi-million dollar campaigns at Emporia State University, Michigan Technological University and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire – all of which exceeded their goals ahead of schedule. She served as the Executive Director of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation, including the second-best fundraising year in its 50-year history.

Leveraging over twenty years of professional fundraising experience, Kevin helps Kinetic clients advance their missions through major gifts and campaign fundraising. He also will provide counsel on specialized areas such as events, strategic corporate sponsorships and foundation grants. His wide range of expertise includes major gift solicitation, event planning, strategic planning and board development.

Denise is Kinetic’s professional writer with more than two decades of experience developing case statements and campaign success stories for clients from virtually every nonprofit sector. Utilizing a powerful combination of intuition and accuracy, Denise is adept at creating a concise and compelling case for support tailored to each client.

Christine draws on her years of experience and expertise as an English teacher to support the Kinetic team for one of the most important services in its client relationship: the Pre-Campaign Study. Using her problem-solving skills and adaptability, she facilitates the process from start to finish. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Washburn University, along with a minor in business.

A graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in Communication, Ashle spent several years working as a television news producer before serving as public relations coordinator at the Wichita Art Museum. Ashle leverages her strong communications, administrative and organizational skills to elevate the overall client experience.

During her nearly twenty years with Kinetic, Graphic Designer Lori Cox has designed numerous case statements, success stories and other collateral materials for Kinetic clients in the U.S. and abroad. Lori has a passion for nonprofits and uses her design skills to create compelling material in support of each campaign.

Laura offers an array of complementary skills in editing, graphic design and photography to Kinetic’s study process and marketing strategies. With an eye for visual and verbal detail and cohesion, she is driven to get the job done, beautifully and on time, while maintaining positive rapport with clients and collaborators.

Ellissa uses her artistic abilities and creativity to design unique case statements and collateral materials for clients. She’s served with numerous nonprofits. She lived in South Africa where she worked in a hospice caring for HIV aids patients, and worked with the Keystone Project in Houston where she assisted with refugees from Myanmar and Thailand.

Bob founded Bank of Blue Valley in 1989. Bank of Blue Valley is a locally-owned and operated community bank with five locations throughout Johnson County. Over the last 29 years, the Bank has grown to over $725 million in total assets. Terry retired as CEO of JE Dunn Construction in 2013, and retired from his chairman’s duties at the end of 2014. J.E. Dunn, a national construction firm founded in 1924 with 2018 revenues of more than $3 billion, became an ESOP-owned company, after three generations of family ownership and leadership.
